Can someone help me please
   

Hi Ok I have had the game gothic when it first hit stores. Ibought it and started to have ltos of problems with it right away . First the problem was with the video I couldnt see anything when I played the game. I was frustrated so I looed for a patch on the internet Iguesssince it first cmae outthey ddnit have any. So I put the game away . Now I got it back out agian after never playing mre then 2 minutes of this game I have the vidoe figured out and now its the audio I can hear the music but Icant hear people talk all I can see is the words the text coming up. I really liek to get cought up on this game so I can buy part 2 I heard is coming out so if anyone can please help me fic the audio problem with hearing the people talk that would be great thanks .

Hi ok where would you find this information at ? Iwas looking and what I came up with and found on my own with knoqwing nothing about computers is i went to sounds and auio devices hit the sound tab under sound sheme it had opeions bt there was nothing listed that Iwas using yet the to sound sheme options were no sound and windows default then i hit the audio tab it said what i was using is soundmax digital audio 240 mb ram

You can find infos about every piece of hardware in the device manager. I donīt have an English windows, so I canīt tell you where to click.
The Compaq homepage should also have infos on your notebook, and maybe even the latest drivers.

Did you try the other sound providers in the Gothic options menu? You have to exit the game everytime you change the sound provider.
What about your other games. Is their sound okay? Are you sure the volume slider is above 0, in Gothic and the windows volume control?
