Please Help - screwed up the main MW quest

Please Help! It seems I have screwed up the second main quest task -
retrieving the skull of Llevule Andrano from the ancestral tomb. The
thing is that I have retrieved the skull sometime (much) earlier in the game
(on my first way to Balmora), then spent a lot of time on other quests and
somehow abandoned the skull. I cannot find it again, I cannot remember
where I left it, and I hoped I could equip it via console or TES editor.
Can anyone explain how I can do this? (Using the AddItem misc_skull_Llevule
does not seem to help).

And yes, I know I was stupid, but have understanding - I was merely an unexperienced,
Level 1 thief at the time, and I spend a couple of hours to beat all the skeletons.

Do this, might take a bit of fiddling but it does work.
Remember where you are in your current save game or go somewhere that you can easily remember.
Load up the TES.
Click on Open and open the Morrowind.esm file (Put a X on it then click ok).
In the cell view window find the place where you are located..or even just somewhere familiar to you that you can find easily.
Double click on it. Then find the Skull item you are looking for on the right.
Simple drag it over into the window that shows the game lands/items and drop it in the world. Then save this as a plugin (just click save). From there close the TES when it asks about saving hit yes. Then load morrowind via the Launcher, click on Data files and put a X by your plugin you just created. Play the game. Wallah the item should be there in your game world.
