Patch???

I just stumbled upon a copy of Gothic tonight totally by accident and decided to pick it up for $10.00. (of course I could never find it when I was looking for it

) I've heard alot of good things about it so... here we go

So, I was just wondering if there's a patch I need to get for it?

The patch only fixes startup problems.

Ok. Thanks Gorath. Appreciate the link to the controls too... that was thoughtful. Would you believe I actually figured out the controls in the first 2 hours?

(except for that lockpick bit.) And I'll tell you, it was a shear epiphany when I discovered that the left mouse button = "use" and all the functions mapped to the mouse wheel - inventory, log book and dialogue.

I can tell this is going to be an excellent experience.
