Rare gothic shots

Here are a few 'set-up' - not previously seen screen shots taken while playing gothic and with Marvin's help.
The shots are genuine - they havn't been altered with a graphics application or manipulated in any way, what you see is what was on the game-screen.

Velaya swimming - free-style

Velaya swimming - breast-stroke

Velaya strikes as Mud blocks

Velaya kills Gomez

More later....enjoy.

Neat! How'd you get the different swimming styles? I can't recall ever seen breast-strokes in Gothic.. ?

With the english keyboard layout,

Left/uppercase arrow + up = breaststroke
Left/uppercase arrow + down = backstroke

Our old "Pic of the Day" screenies for the first Gothic were also often spectacular. We posted about 40 pieces, I think.

Would those "about 40 pieces" still be in the database or somehow viewable? - where are they now? - or have they been pruned by "the spoiler of all fun?"

Strange, this doesn't seem to work for me. I can do the breaststroke by hitting forward + walk slow. (I think the walk button was Shift key before I remapped it) But I can't get him to do the backstroke no matter what keys I hit. Maybe it's not in the US version?

It's funny that I never knew about the breaststroke after playing more than a hundred hours of Gothic in the past.

They´re still in the DB. Maybe the old newsbits can also be retrieved. Some had explanations and a title for the pic.

Ok I understand now. He is joking about the backstroke.

@JDR13,

I admit that the back-stroke isn't what you could call Olympic gold medal style, but with all keyboard settings on 'default' pc-hero sure can swim backward in a slow casual manner.

I'd appericiate it if you would make a battle between Lee, Cor Anger and Gomez. Just like the battle Jaz did between the head 3 megicians..

Okay X-dANGEr,
will try that shot later 'Gomez/Cor Angar/Lee' - all three fighting? - not quite a natural shot?

Here's a few more shots to be going on with.

Mud on a horse
http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/9549/mudrider1wf.jpg

Velaya in a cage
http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/6223/velayacage6hc.jpg

Velaya healing

Artos, Gomez and Scar
http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/5867/artogomezscar3yp.jpg

Enjoy....more later.

That Mud on the horse picture is just sick if you consider why the little prick was thrown in the colony

You could be right Dez, in fact Mud has been acting strange lately.
