How do I remove the voices ?

I hate the english voices. My imagination does a better job than this.

I want to play the game with subtitles and no voices.

Is there any way to do that ?

Turn off the speakers?
No, sorry. I never met anybody that wanted to play the game without the voices.

Aaah nevermind. One of the NPC's voice made me cringe. I'll live.

I don't know if you can't do that.

But your name proves why you don't want the game to have voices.

...chill out 'patriot'.

As a matter of fact, a lot of peeps in Europe try to get the original versions because our french / german and whatnot translations of ENGLISH speaking (I wasnt mentioning a country mind ) games are usually awful. And they're not content of doing awful voices, they also do awful in game translations sometimes

Even Divine Divinity which is made here in Belgium sounds silly in french, to cap it all ! (it's bad, but in a funny way)

In Belgium this is particularly the case of 'flemish' (dutch speaking part of Belgium) who always have their games in original version but with dutch manuals. I've bought several times a dutch box with dutch manuals, just so I could have the original english speaking game (i.e. Baldur's Gate etc), because I have no problem reading or speaking english.

Of course, the heavy american accent that sounds out of place in this medieval fantasy game is probably not so noticable if you live and speak american every day. But it's very noticable to europeans who would be more used to the british or just 'generic' english speaking.

For reference, I'd say voices like in Diablo 2 are GOOD.

Yeah, I always liked them too. Coming across Brooklyn accents in G1 seemed out of place at first - but created an unusual effect. Kind of like the combination of horses, airships, guns, and swords in the Final Fantasy series.

well dont think of it as a brooklyne accent, think of it as a foreign accent, like in reality even if they all speak he same COMMON language some sound different then others. To me it gives the feel of all kinds of different pewople all stranded together
