Wrong forum! Freelancer is not an adventure game - try posting in Absolutely Off Topic

I have to agree with aiaen, it fits the adventure game mould pretty well ... at least the main story line. There is little to no freedom, very linear, plays like a movie. The only difference is that instead of solving insanely random puzzles, one is shooting at ships (or racing). There is a little trading on the side during the main quest ... but that just replaces the hunt to fill your inventory with jars of honey, small bags, lint and other completely inane objects that will be used at unpredictable times to advance the story.

The easiest way to become a pirate is to attack police ships. A harder and safer way is to kill lots and lots of Xenos ships. Most people hate the Xenos and even pirates will like you better for shooting them down.
