UltimaIX Redemption + UltimaX The New King - Titans of Ether |
|
I worked on my TC "The New King" since end of July. Because the Redemption Team seemed to have problems of some kind I offered them that my Team and they could join forces. After some days of planning we decided to form a new team together: Titans of Ether. as this new Team we are developing Ultima IX: Redemption and Ultima X: The New King!
We are making progress very fast in our attempt to make the best Ultima ever. We are implementing losts of features that make it worth playing the game even if you dont follow the main story. Below I post a feture list.
If you know MW mods that do something like mentioned in the feature list below I can assure you that our featues will be much more detailed than what was done so far -> eg almost no messageboxes, but real item combination - so forging wont be handled by messageboxes but you really have to put ore into a melting pot - you can mix ores, then you have to really hit the raw iron with a hammer and finally you have to cool it in a water barrel etc......
some features:
- NPCs have their schedules (go home at night or in a tavern,
go fishing, etc…)
- NPCs are no dull nobodies but have their own story with their
individual needs
- master intelligent quests where you have to use all your skills
(not only fighting)
- possibility to kill big monsters with brain instead of a weapon
(traps, poison,…)
- Quests that are implemented seamless in the story so you might
not even notice that you are doing a quest
- several ways to solve a problem
- you don’t have to master the dangers alone: the party is back!
(up to 3)
- Party members react according to what you do
- travel around in Britannia with your moonstone
- forge your own weapons and armor
- Buy ships and sail freely in the world or build yourself a small
boat if you have the skill to do it.
- buy a house in a place you like
- build furniture for your home or just to sell it
- you have to eat, drink and sleep
- you can build your own tent with a fireplace wherever you
want - there you can also cook animals you hunted
And finally here are some screenhots:

First Ultima IX Redemption VIDEO released (New Magincia)!
Its a 3 min video in which you can see how it is to wander around about half of New Magincia. The island is still in the early stages of production. More flora will come and you also will see no NPCs or monsters in the video BUT you will get a first impression of how it will be to wander around in our version of Britannia. And while you see how it is you will also hear how it is because there are parts of two never before released remakes of classic Ultima songs in the video. No trying to be cool fly by's or crazy cuts.. its the real thing! So don't hesitate and go to the Titans of Ether Homepage to download it! (in the media section) _________________ Leader of

Thanks
Can it be that the UltimaDot news are not the same as they were once? I mean, there are only "official" UO news. Seeing the Lazarus release date is almost a miracle.. Back in the days they even announced new Creenshots from the fan projects (and mayde interviews). Its sad.... _________________ Leader of

UltimaDot is hiring now and hopefully Withstand the Fury (who already collects infos for his Ultima news site like crazy) gets the job! Then this site will be the Ultima info resource again that it once used to be. _________________ Leader of
