ok this is completely annoying. I have spent most of my time so far, running. A smigen of that was gathering wood. I have been playing for a few hours and nothing but running. And running very slowly too. Bleh.

This is why I read a book while running to the Universities. It's a good way to pass the time. You need skills to do interesting things, that means running to the places where you learn skills.

Ah...I wish I had a book I haven't read yet. But anyway I'm prolly gonna hold off playing due to the fact Winxp keeps giving me problems and boots me off any online games and online programs such as aim icq or whatnot....makes traveling in ATITD much slower due to this fact.

Ouch. Do you have Directx 9 installed? That might be the problem too.

There was 20 canvas in the canvas chest when I left. I can now repair the tin mine. Just need some jugs and boards.

If it takes that many rods that means I'll have to grow more leeks than I thought I would. And I still have to make the copper and copper straps for cooperage. Gah! *stress*

Btw, don't bother repairing the zinc and silver mines right now. I think we have plenty of those metals at the moment.

The Silver is up and on autopilot. It is a lvl 5 now and gets some coal manualy. Maybe it should be turned of?
Ok i won't repair the Zinc to lvl 4

But the iron mine is down to and needs to be a lvl6 now. It has 2000+ ore inside.
The otec ghost statue is listed under building at atitd.net. It need no boards or bricks. But 1000 limestone, iron thing and i think gold.

I hear there where gold mines about 20 min running noth west of the nile SoA. Don't know which side of the nile.
I go and check when i get online.

Couple updates:

I have now gotten the Cooperage skill. So I'll build the Barrel Vice and start making some copper straps to construct barrels. I also promised to help research viticulture, so I'll make some barrels for that as well as make some for our use. Amira said she'd work on boards for the barrels, so I just need to make the copper straps for them and put them together.

A couple more of our people are getting close to having their Obelisks. When they get them I'll have them make their Fine Steel Axes and learn Precision Woodcutting so they can gather more wood in preperation for glassmaking. We'll need a lot of wood for all of the bonfires.

When I'm done with the barrels I'll start growing leeks like mad for making ash. Did someone want to try papyrus growing? If so, the papyrus makes more ash for less than leeks do. If we can successfully grow papyrus, then that might be worth it.

On a side note: I got my 4th shrine!

I will try to hit 500+ lime today.
Maybe i can get more wood.

I'm getting the silver i need for my octec ghost statue. If i got enough i will get more for you Val.
After that i will try to get enough limestone for the 2 statues.
2000 needed for that.

And I'll work on the iron and charcoal for pinch rollers to make cable. I'll probably try to make extra for a brazier or something.
But first, I need to finish the potash.

Also, we now have thermos, so we can make a Terrarium for beetle breeding. Be sure to grow cabbage for the beetles before you try to breed them.

Val, I'm insane and I would like to build a 68 cubit obelisk...

The boards and linen are ready, I need about 20 minutes for the last 40 cactus sap, my beehives are producing the wax nicely (only another (maybe two) bee-run(s) required), the only three remaining items are small sapphires in the amount of 15, 95 ash, and 10,000 bricks.

I can make the bricks, and if I may, I know of an excellent iron laden land about 3 minutes from camp, so perhaps we might try for a mine there because the level 6 iron mine costs a lot to maintain, uses lots of waytime, and produces non-sapphires.

Fine, go ahead. I'll be back online when I finish my test and get home.

Okay people. We almost have every type of building available in the game. I think we should make a push for the Charcoal Brazier next. Since I'm already going to make pinch rollers to create cable for Xerox's and my Octec statues, I figure I might as well make some for a Brazier.
We could also try growing papyrus and making a Paper Press. That'll require 2 more pinch rollers, but with a Brazier that will be much simpler.

What do you think?
