Atari Action Plan and Studio Sell-Off?

With Atari publishing one of the most anticipated RPGs on this year's calendar - NWN2 - their financial trouble has generated rumblings on boards all over the place. All is well, apparently, because Atari has a <a href="http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/060217/nyf087.html" target="_blank">plan</a> and is rumoured to be planning to <a href="http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=808" target="_blank">sell internal studios</a> such as Shiny (who helped get them into this situation).

Excellent! Then perhaps Shiny will once again be allowed to do what they do best and that is to be creative instead of wasting their talents with "cut in stone" franchises such as The Matrix.

It is when they create titles like MDK or Sacrifice that they truly live up to their name
