Somehow I have changed the way the screen behaves as you move your character through the world.
Initially, my character would remain centered on the screen as I moved through the world.
But now, I have to scroll the world by moving the mouse pointer to the edges of the screen.
I want to get it back the way it was before, where my character remained centered on the screen. Anyone know how to fix this?

You have CAPS-LOCK on. When yuou press SHIFT then you can move around the map with your mouse, without moving your character. IF you have CAPS_LOCK on then you are always in that mode.
