Got your attention, didn't I?

Anyway. Having beaten Gothic legitimately, I went back to screw around using MARVIN mode. I think I'm addicted to the 'O' key now (possess character). Here's some interesting stuff I uncovered...

There are several different babes in the game, plus Charlotte the In Extremo fan. If you possess or insert a babe, you can use the babe-only bed (found in Velaya's room) and the bathtub. Babes do not have the "pick up" animation, "drop" animation, "jump" or the attack animation. They apparently don't have a death animation either, since it's absolutely impossible to kill them (even 'H' button in marvin mode does not work).

Nudity is an armor. If you look into the inventory of Bathbabe, Velaya or Babe2, you will find two armors called "Nude babe" and "Bikini babe". They have a "turquoise square" graphic, and cannot be dropped because babes can't drop or pick up items. They can probably be inserted though, but I don't know how.

Palm Sprig Fan and Brush are miscellaneous items. Velaya carries both, and it is possible to make her fan someone or scrub the floor.

Male characters usually attack babes on sight for no discernable reason. Talking to a character as a babe produces a uniform response: "Not now!"

Babes can't swim. If inserted into deep water, they drift along with the current in upright position.

If you possess a guard, you can make him take off his armor. (I think Jazzy would be interested in doing that to Jackal, hehehe). Nudity is, apparently, a criminal offense in the world of Gothic, because you will be immediately attacked by guards, and lesser people like diggers will flee from your muscular naked torso.

Inserting the Sleeper causes the nearby creatures to fall deeply asleep. That pertains even to a troll that I inserted, who curled up like a big hairy baby and snored for almost five minutes.

Possessing people and inserting creatures sometimes wreaks havoc on NPC's scripts. Hence, be careful, or camps will disintegrate in a free-for-all melee.

Finally, if you plan to possess someone for a long time, use "hero export " command before you do it. The game will remove the player character after it stands around for long enough. If you wish to become yourself again, use "insert pc_hero", possess the new self, and use "hero import to restore yourself to former glory.

Have fun! And if anyone finds a way to insert "nude babe" armor, let me know.

Don't you sometimes think that guys should have their own exhibit at the zoo? You know... like the Chimp habitat? You could watch them sit around in dirty underwear, watching sports in their cavelike apartments stacked with old newspapers, dirty dishes, and empty pizza boxes, while they worshipped disgusting body functions. And all from the safety of the habitat viewing area.

Somehow I don't think that particular exhibit would attract very many viewers.

I was joking, although I can't speak for Gig. It was all in fun. Congrats on the upgrade.

What makes you think I didn't?

I have about 30 screenshots of a diversity of Gothic NPCs in their undies, including Jackal (so far he's the only OC guard who's tattooed like a brotherhood guy). Hard work, as I often get a run time error after trying to strip people. I never managed to strip either Wolf or Skip, perhaps it's impossible with shopkeepers.

I plan to use those pics to extort some ore from them, of course .

I never managed to strip a babe, either, even though one of my first ideas after discovering the 'posess' cheat was, of course, to see if the hero could equip their clothes.
It's pure scientific curiosity on my part... or perhaps the curiosity of a RPGer .
