Anybody who wants to help can get the download link today. The unwashed masses will have to wait.

btw., the first post has been updated!

Sorry i didnt understand@?@!
I understood that it will exist a new game (like a new addon) with updated textures.
But its unofficial as i know.... You mean that everyone can download it and to
update his textures in Gothic 2-addon.
Pm me or email me the link if it will exist the update.

Now I didn't understand ... What means "will exist the update"?

AFAIK, the texture pack just replaces original textures that came with the game, and you don't need to start a new game - no scripts or anything like that are modified. Right ?

Yes you're correct, desmond5. It's a mod that's all.

I didnīt find the time to polish the screenshots and set up the page. Whenever I thought I could do it suddenly something else demanded attention.

I think we can post the download link here until the article is ready. Please do not post the link on other forums! Link to this thread instead, if you really have to spread the word now. Downloads create costs, and we at least want the traffic for it.

Hereīs the link:

Have fun with Postalīs texture pack and donīt forget to give feedback.

Yo yo yo, Postaldude in da house!

In response to feedback, there are some seam problems but the problem is the seam problems were there from the original gothic already. Take a look at screens from gamspot and you may notice some lines on building not matching and such in the original game. Since the textures I took were from photos or edited, they of course help bring out this effect even more. But none the less, though I could edit every one of them again then check then edit then check until everything is perfect then that would take a whole lot of time, so long that the texture pack might not be out for years. But, Better now then never and the road seems which are the obvious ones are from the original game, since I simply replace textures the seam problems stay. The only other seam problem is farm ground but that is in avoidable as the farmland is a single square polygon indent so any change whould be obvious. The original game textures also looked like they didn't fit. But I fixed that a bit by making the farm ground grass + mud photo so the square ground model isn't so obvious.
In old world, the rodas sometimes are an inch or two off but that isn't noticed as I rounded the edges so it looks like a simply beaten path with no straight lines.

That should be it for seam problems that I know of and sum of fixes in this version.

(sorry for long post)

The Khorinis docks and market square pavement looks way too bright (it scratches my eye)! Could you perhaps do a patch to fix this ? Pretty please ...

Everything else is just beautifull. When addon's english version comes out, could you do that one too ?
