Turning the stones in the crypts?
   

I don't know if i'm extremely dense,but i don't seem to see any carvings on the floors of rooms 3-8 to match up in the room to get the shield.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

The floor carvings match the signs on the WHEELS.

Yes i read that on the walkthrough but i've searched the rooms numerous times(even had my 12 yo come look) and i don't see where these floor carvings are on the floors.

I must say I am slightly confused as to where you are, but if I am right you are in the part of the crypt where you have to turn the stones to match the specific carved stones you have collected...
...if this is indeed where you need help, take a look at this picture which shows you the way the stones need to be turned (these signs must appear on the outer part of the turning stones!)



If I am wrong as to where you are just let me know...
