First of all, does upgrading your sword skill increase the damage you deal or does it just give you more swings?....also, i am about to go do the minecrawler nest quest and i am level eight with 46 strength and the heavy shadow armor........is this enough or should i level up first?...one more question, how long does it take to beat the game if you rush through it...how many chapters are there?....is there really 100 hours of gameplay like the box says?

Hi,
upgrading swordskill will not increase the damage but you will fight more effective. So you can kill stronger enemies than you would do, without increasing.

How many Chapters? Why to spoil this? Just play and hope, there will be one more

Gameplay for straight playing through all chapters will be a minimum of about 20 or 24 hours, I think. But there are so many extra features ... I played only once and a half and had about 100 to 150 hours fun.
