Quick Potions

I have found on the web, the way to enable 'Quick Potions'. However, I have NOT found instructions on HOW to use them...

Is there a keypress or controls thing I am missing?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

This sounds interesting but I hear about this for the first time.. It could be very, very useful but.... If you ask me it's better the way it is and IMO there is no such hotkey in the game. It would only spoil the intensivnes and adrenaline in the game since potions heal you instantly.
no, a game like gothic shouldn't have hotkeys for potions. you should heal yourself only when enemies are not nearby (e.g. resting)
it's not interesting otherwise since you woudl roam the land without any fear - you can heal yourself at anytime if you get wounded..

my opinion: I'm strictly against it. permanent.

Look in the Customize Controls-Advanced Controls section. Default they're H for health potion and P for power? potion

In-game main menu->Options->Customize Controls->Advanced Controls

You have to set the option for "Gothic 1" controls OFF in Game Options, since the advanced controls basically control things like single button attack moves but also designates Quicksave/Quickload and QuickHealth/QuickMana potion bindings if you have those options enabled.

You can always re-enable the Gothic 1 control scheme after you bind the new advanced keys.

For anyone who's curious, you have to open the Gothic2.ini file with a text editor and change a couple of flags from 0 to 1 to enable these options. The .ini is pretty self-explanatory.
