hey, i was just thinking of how cool it would be if Gothic was made into a full length movie. its has all of the qualities of a good movie so i think it would sell very well. what do all of you think? they have made movies from games before and they turned out pretty good. look at Final Fantasy and Resident Evil. _________________ Complete obidience or instant death...its your choice |

I guess it would be cool, but still how would they pull it off? First of all they have to choose what camp the main character should join, and second should the movie follow the plot in the game or a completly different story... _________________ We'll get along fine as soon as you realize I'm God.

Yeah, three different camps the character can join is too much choice for a tight-script movie. And there are too many important events that couldn't fit into one full-lenght movie. All in all, I don't think a Gothic movie would be all that great. _________________ For all you headbangers, check out my band's page @ http://www.black-oath.com |

they could make a Dune type movie and make it in two parts, each three hours long. i figure that it would be easiest to just have the guy join the Old Camp since that is the first camp you ever see. of course some people would be dissapointed about not knowing the guys name, but who cares? _________________

And take a look at d&d the movie, [ultra mega sarcasm]I mean it was a roaring success [/ultra mega sarcasm]. I dont think that a good fil would be some bloke walking around saying "what do I have to know about this camp" _________________

Gothic could become a fine movie if done right..It could be best to make two movies of it at the very least, instead of making only one.Imo Gothic-saga is just too extensive for a single movie. The setting, Gothic offers is absolutly a brilliant starting-point.They just need to forget the nameless hero and all the stupid crap like "what do i need to know about this camp".Movie doesn't need to follow game so strictly atall.Hell only things, that movie needs to borrow from the game are: the theme/setting itself and few known characters(like Lee and gomez). The nameless hero however is just unnecessary. The gothic-movie needs a strong charismatic principal character.Lets face it the hero-character we have in gothic lacks about everything hero-type character should have.Even the ponytail is just horrible . _________________ The focused mind can pierce through stone |

All I have to say, is a movie would be far too long. Make a TV series ! XD! _________________ I'm pretty sure the Monk's Quest has died by now. |

I like your way of thinking Dez. is it just me or does that ponytail look like a wedge pounded into the back of his head? _________________
