Read readme file (all action are described there).
Pick up things: forward + action button (for example W + left mouse button).

When I first tried the demo I almost trashed the game because ic ouuldn't pick things up.
I was thinking, damm another game with a million things to remember. Boy was I wrong.
I looked it up and it was fast flying from there.
