I took Aldo back to Hector (the one with the broken cart) and they just walked off together, nothing was said; I didn't get the 'quest' completed in my journal, dammit Is there anyway to rectify it? Then again what's one little quest[ette] , what the hey, lol.
2nd question ~ where is Bertrand's brother Marcus the mage in red?

First- the flashing edit button is a joke-of-frustration by some of the board moderators. There's some posters that double post instead of using the edit button to go back and correct/add-to the original post (sorta like you did ). It's not that big a deal- just a pet peeve of the powerful. Repeated violations have resulted in Val and others subjecting the offender to a stern lecture. You're not in any jeopardy of that at this point.

OK, next. You might want to make sure the quest isn't completed after all, since they all walk off without giving you any reward. That quest is actually there to get you into the corner store, where you can find the solution to a certain henchman's quest.

Last, you can find Marcus in the north end of the zone. Or rather, you can find what's left of him...
