You have to first point out, which controls these go for. As far as I can see, these are, mostly, G1 controls, which is pointless with G2. G2 has better controls, so before you start playing the game, go to Options, change controls to Gothic 2 style, and THEN play. G2 controls mode is MUCH better and easier, no silly "hold action key down and press arrows" stuff - with G2 controls, just CLICK the mouse button, or action button, and the action is performed. Want to climb? Easy, just click ALT once and the char will climb, instead of holding down ALT and messing again with arrow keys.

Basically, the first rule to the new gamers - BEFORE you start to play ANY game, check out the options.

You don't have more control over your hero with G1 controls in any way. Besides, getting used to one type of controls is a sign of weakness Person needs to adapt, you know I personally always check the options first and the controls of the game, and I always learn the new controls, so I myself am pretty flexible when it comes to it. And, to mention it again, G2 controls are much better. In fact, it's much easier to play the game with G2 controls, you don't need to be messing with keyboard all the time, you can actually play the game in a relaxing way..

So, yeah, new player(s), if you're not some lazy dinosaurs who cannot adapt and adjust, check out the options and actually try out new things, and play the game with G2 controls, these are MUCH better and easier to use

I like the G1 controlls better, they're more "arcadeish" perhaps, makes fighting more fun IMHO.

Damn, it was a while ago since i've been playing and now i cant remember how to drop items (and it's not in you "guide" heh)..

IMO fighting is much easier with the Gothic controls. But I do like how I don't have to "action button and up" every item in the world in Gothic 2.
