Got MW for a birthday present and no game inside |
|
My family and I celebrated my birthday on sunday and as one of my gifts I got MW. I just opened it up and there are no CDs inside. I checked the box and it said they got it from BestBuy. Does anyone know or have had experience with returning something to Bestbuys when there was no game inside? |

Unfortunately it is true. I probably can't return it because they will think I am lying and just trying to get another copy, but if my father returns it they will believe him because he would not seem to have any reason to steal. |

So keep us informed. I am curious if they will exchange it for new box (with CD inside). |

Some shops here in Canada (Electronics Boutique for one) take the CD's out of the boxes when they put the new games out for sale. Perhaps the sales guy forgot to put the disc back in?

in my country it is normal for shops to take the cd out of the box if the place the box on a shell.
When you buy the game yhe will put thee cd in the box.

I did hear another case of this happening the week the game came out, a sealed box with no CD inside.
Just take it back to Best Buy and explain, I'm sure they will give you a new one.
I've returned a number of things that I have bought there and had a problem with. The person at the return desk could care less and they would rather have a happy customer then a hassle.
They just have you sign a slip of paper and tell you to go get another one, and bring it back to the desk.

Thats funny. If your dad was playing the game he would have reason to steal. |

My dad does not even have a computer and he has never been interested in video games. I think he has always thought them to be like the old arcade games; diversions while waiting for the pizza to be made at Pizza Hut. Plus he is not that sneaky or smooth about things. |

I bought my game and rushed home, only to find no CD. The manager at the Electronics Boutique was very apologetic because they had forgotten to put the CD in the box. I too was worrried that they might argue about it - but remember, they keep track of how many games they have in stock and how many they've sold. They will surely note the discrepancy if you tell them what happened. Any reputable company would. |
