It is often menioned that Arx is THE worthy succesor of Ultima Underworld. Is it? And if it is, do we care? Many elements remind me of UU: the object handling, the underground realm, the magic key ring... But many do not. Where is the dialogue? Where are the virtues? Where is my bedroll?

I never played Ultima Underworld. This is my first "underground" game and I really enjoy feeling of this whole world deep underground. There are parts of game where I am really depressed of darkness and violence. I even returned one time to human town without "reason", just to see people, see human buildings... |

It's a great game in the same line of world however for some reason nothing beats the original UW... (I dind't like it's sequel a whole lot either...)

They are all great games. My favourite, was UU2, but that's just personal taste. I would have liked Arx to be longer, I was enjoying it immensely, but I can understand why a small company couldn't make it longer; at least there's some hope for an Arx2.
