If anyone had a problem with gothic crashing when the skeleton mage summons skeletons(a dozen times with me)in the fog tower,i got around it by changing into a meatbug and going past him,then killing a couple of loose skeletons and finally coming back to put him out of his misery.

To be true, he never managed to summon a single skeleton while I was around. I charged Mr. Bones and smashed him to a pulp before he had finished his spell - the same for those in the temple.
