Fallout 3: Josh Heads Into The Sunset

Friday was Fallout 3 Lead Designer Josh Sawyer's last day at Black Isle. The good folks at No Mutants Allowed were quick to notice that Josh changed his Black Isle forum avatar to a Fallout 3 in-game model for a few minutes before heading off:

Apart from some nice symbolism this avatar shows some impressive detail in the Fallout 3 models.

No Mutants Allowed also posted some shots of Josh's office. In addition, there's the usual forum tidbits including some interesting stuff on camera control, burst shots and more. Thanks, Briosafreak.

It seems the graphics are like the Silent Storm ones, but better

Without Josh things will be really quiet, i guess...

Still i give him a couple of years tops to return to the CRPG world, it`s in his nature.

Is this symbolism about the number 13, or something else Josh said?

edit: we can also see a map of Faerun on the wall of his office...

* mourns for BG3 *

No, the symbolism is just the turned back, facing away or leaving.

You could say that Josh sees himself as the Vault Dweller, sent into the Wastelands to create Fallout 3 but rejected after completing his work...but that might be going too far. *g*

That Faerun map was a dead giveaway for Jefferson. *sigh*
