Interesting problem..

I used to have 128 ram which made the game run pretty slow, but it ran. I got up to level 6 using it this way.

after reading posts here i went out and bought a 512 chip popped it in and fired up gothic. The game seems to run pretty awesome but about 5 minutes in it crashes to the desktop?

thinking it was possibly a bad chip i dloaded memory doctor which ran all night and did a burn test on the ram. after 20 passes through all 640 megs it came back with no errors. I even played some other games like medal of honor demo online, aqua nox etc, with no problems. any thoughts? many thanks guys..

system specs:
AMD 1.1 ghz
hercules geforce 2 64mb
640 ram

Try to remove the old memory. Maybe old and new module donīt like each other.

What about programs running in the background?
