Oops! I got to Chapter 6 and have to Sword of Uriziel. I saved two files, intending to do one with the rune and one with the sword. However, on that file I was a mage and did not learn two-handed fighting. I have plenty of skill points but Lee (I was a Mage of Fire then a Mage of Water) won't teach me to use two-handed swords! What should I do? I haven't checked Cor Angar yet, but I doubt he would teach me as I didn't belong to the Sect Camp. Do I just have no chance to go through with the sword except on another file.

Cor Angar only teaches templars. I think once you become a mage, you can't learn two-handed, unless you learn magic after becoming mercenary.

Is there a way to get rid of the character helper once I'm done using him?

Seems to be the stock answer to getting rid of them though.
