Why does it look so bad?
   

At MaxDEtail but still the chacracters look horrible.
1280 x1024 32b max detail
It looked deffinitetly better in Gothic 1

I hv a Gf 4600 128mb amd 2400xp 512mb

I mean does ATI users hv the problem?
or is it the game ,nvidia driver

I dont think it looks worse than Gothic, but it doesnt look much better. Looks like they probably used the same engine.

The models look about the same to me.
I think the foilage/enviroment is wayyyyyy better though.

The environment gfx of gothic 2 are probably the best i've ever seen in any game, rpg, fps or whatever!
