Chromanin Mission help

Ok, I just started the Chromanin mission, the one where you have to find the books. I have found the first one in the Tower on the hill by the shipwreck, I read that the 2nd book is supposed to be in the lookout tower where you find Ur-Shak the friendly Orc Shaman. Is this right? I have tried to get to the top of tower but I think it is impossible! I even tried to cheat to get to the top and that didn't work! PLEASE HELP!

It´s definitly possible to climb up the tower without cheating. Maybe some transformation scrolls can be useful.
FYI, the Chromanin quest is optional.

Please post in the correct forum. Troubleshooting is only for technical problems.

I never used a scroll to get there - I just climbed up there in my own form- , but perhaps Bloodfly might be of help, or Meatbug.

Indeed, the Chromanin Quest is difficult. And it took me a while to solve it. I wouldn't recommend it to beginners.

tower

I've finished chromain and haven't been able to get to the top of that tower without transformation scrolls (too bad they arein't available as runes) even with acrobatics.

Climbing the unscalable tower.

We all have towers like this in life, huh? They take patience, skill, but mostly luck. Anyway, I know where you are getting stuck and how to get past it. You make it up the first wooden plank used to ramp from one level to the next, and get stuck on the second one. It seems that if you try to walk or jump up you either end up where you began or else just fall back to the bottom. Here is how you can climb it successfully (took me hours to figure this out):
Get yourself to the bottom of the plank that is difficult. Now, stand about in the center and run as if you could run right up to the center of the top. Now, keep running and hit the jump button. This should kinda shoot you to the top of the plank in one jump. Kinda a glitch. Doesn't work if you stand and jump forward, you have to run THEN jump. Good luck. Reply if it doesn't work for you.

chromanin mission help please

To get the second book you need to jump to the second tower floor then walk up on the inclined board to the third floor but just before reaching the third floor, turn back then, with the acrobatic skill, hold left ctrl (jump bouton) : the view should change to show what's up otherwise release ctrl, move a little backward or frontward and repeat untill the view change to show what's up then push the up arrow (to accomplish the jump) and you will be able to reach the fourth floor.

On the other hand I would really appreciate if somebody would be kind enough to tell me what the second riddle mean : where the f... is the third book ? I though it would be in the sunken tower or near Y'berrion's corpse : "what was massively separated then reunited" or something like that, but it isn't. Help please.

It refers to a pseudo island which splits a river... which joins back again after the island. There aren't many of those around. So go look.

hey!

Where do you get to start the quest?
For me it started when I accidently found one of the books (in some underground tunnels near swamp camp)..
Is the point just to find the other two, or to tell somebody about them?

You start the Chromanin (aka The Stranger) quest by reading the book in the Fog Tower near the ship wreck. You have to find 5 more books to solve it and collect ~15k xp.
