We already have troubleshooting sections from forums, but I think your idea is a good one. You have my vote.

Interesting idea. You are ofcourse not first who brought it here. But we must carefully keep in mind this things:
- there is a lot big and nice site/forums about hardware
- there is ussually place to discuss hardware question related to certain games
- is not Abs. offtopic forum enough for hardware topics?

Requirements of individual games are usually discussed in the general forums for those games. Generic hardware questions (i.e. which video card should I buy?) get answered in the off-topic forum.

I've started these types of threads in both the MW and Off-topic forums and always received prompt and knowledgeable responses, so questions of that type don't get lost.

I vote yes, people also need to talk about drivers and new computers and general non-specific game tech stuff, this stuff does not necessarily belong in off topic forums

Every game that have a forum for it, does have a troubleshoot section, but there are more games out there than we have forums here for, so after long thinking, i decided to vote yes, i don't see anything bad about it, and maybe it's a really good idea to have such forum.

Edit: Just checked out, and there is only one forum that have troubleshooting section, and that is Gothic, sorry, my mistake.
