I opened Xardas' book a long time ago, just before I gave it to the head guy at the Monastery. Now I don't have the key,and he isn't offering any dialogue options any more.
Is there a way to get the door open? This is my best character ever, and I really, really want to finish the game. |

Ummm, that does'nt make much sense. You have to give the "Halls of Irdorath" book to Pyrokar before he will come help repair the Eye of Innos. You could not have gotten the book open until you speak to Lester after you return from the VoM and get the note from Xardas.
The book should be in the cellar laying on an alchemy bench, but you have to get permission from Pyrokar to go get the book and try to open it....unless you have strafed past the mage guarding the cellar and gotten the book back out of sequence.
In any case, if you opened the book after you got the note from Lester, you should have a crumpled letter and a key in inventory from when you open the book. The letter tells how to enter the hidden library, and the key opens the final door.
I am explaining that not so much for you, but for others that might have trouble. Did you sell the key by accident? Anyway, you can use marvin mode to get thru the door.....bmarvinb.......stand in front of the door and hit "k" _________________ Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
