{ "presses me a stamp"? "coining into the hand." ??? }

2. #How does it look like with gold?

[Franco is willing to pay gold to get the job done. Aus 'out of' can be as 'like', slangish He is displaying the gold to the Hero. Now does the job look better 'out of' (aus) gold.]
[How does it look like 'from the point of view' with gold?]

1. This doesn´t make any sense. The original German sentence would be helpful.

2. Probably "Wie sieht´s mit dem Gold aus?". A common construct. 'gold' can be replaced with every item both parties made a deal about.
="What about the (implies 'my') gold?" He demands the gold.

Soso. Das kannst du nur von Vatras dem Wassermagier geh?t haben.

#(tolerable) You could have only heard about that from the water mage Vatras.

"Soso" is a filler word to express his surprise. Daron didn´t expect the hero to know about this. He sort of tries to win a few seconds to think about the next sentence.

Are the changes proposed here on forums already implemented to the document on your site? I namely opened some texts from the links on the first page, i.e. Saturas's, and still saw some sentences which I think were changed by some of us and also some which I suggested a change for, but in that file there were still old choices? If these changes aren't yet entered into those files, then I'll wait and check them over again. In any case, nice touch to put them separately like this, makes it easier, one huge file is confusing at times

# Furthermore, you must find a way to free the slaves.

#(cynical) Is that all? I can easily do that left-handed. [original German]

(annoyed) I know that it's very demanding, but see it as a chance to regain my confidence.
# (annoyed) A very demanding task indeed. See it as a chance to regain my confidence.

We really don't need these kind of disturbances occuring right now!

Sorry, I didn't add the German original in the files; it's really difficult to keep the accented letters in my computer. Anyway:

$ DIA_Addon_Crimson_Hi_10_02
##(& Denn stell dir vor: Eines schönen Abends kommt Raven um die Ecke und drückt mir einen Münzstempel in die Hand.
##(6 Try to imagine: A beautiful evening Raven comes around the corner and presses me a stamp for coining into the hand.
##(3 Try to imagine: One beautiful evening Raven comes around the corner and hands to me a coin stamping press.

comes => came; hands to me => gave me

Ah, I see.

The meaning is correct. A "Münzstempel" is a device to press coins. Here´s a pic. It consists of a top and a bottom, both with a negative of the desired imprint. The bottom is fixed, a raw coin is put on it, then the top ... a heavy blow with a hammer later you have a legal gold coin with a positive on both sides.

"in die Hand drücken" (to press s.th. in s.b. hand) is a common slang expression for "to give".

One dictionary suggested "coiner´s die" for "Münzstempel".

He says "... imagine..." but of course he is telling the real story how he got this job.

Thanks for the help Gorath!

Here is that odd sentence about gold. It doesn't make much sense to me.

DIA_Addon_Franco_While_15_00
Wie sieht's aus mit Gold?

[How looks it 'from' with gold? The AUS gives me fits!]

"How's it going with the gold (digging)?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Has this dialog for Starurus been looked at?

DIA_Addon_Saturas_ADW_PreTeachCircle_14_01
Go and accept your fate, Keeper. Our prayers are with you.
Take 'Beliar's Claw' and destroy it.
As you wish, my son. Give it to me.
Then it will do no more harm as I will sink it in the depths of the sea.
Can you teach me the circles of magic?
You are a fire mage. What would Pyrokar say?
%
#Then it will do no more harm, as I will throw it into the depths of the sea.

DIA_Addon_Saturas_ADW_CIRCLE_15_00
I want to learn more about a higher circle of magic.
I want to promote to the higher circle of magic.

#I want to learn the next higher circle of magic.

Gorath already did this phrase: "What about the gold?" It actually makes sense for the entire conversation.

$ DIA_Addon_Franco_MIS2_08_01 and on
Keep listening. I have another task for you.
Few days ago, I sent Edgor into the swamp.
He should be finding an old stone tablet for me, but nobody has seen him since then.
Look for him and bring me that damned stone tablet.
#What about the gold?
What?
Do I get any payment for my work in the swamp?
(very friendly) So you want some gold? Sure, how much do you want? Fifty gold nuggets? Hundred? I'll give you as much as you can carry ...

etc.

You did not look over my new Saturas' dialogues, nor are Cronos' and Nefarius'.

It´s what I already wrote above. Composed verbs like "aussehen" are split in a question.
He asks something like
-How´s the gold doing?
-What about the gold?
-What about my gold?
All this puts pressure on the other guy to give him the gold.

I see, I over looked that.

KB, yes I need to look over their dialogs. I thought someone already did.

Don't say "need". Just to add, everything I've found from OU.CSL is packed in this zip file.

That is nice, but the link is not working. UPDATE: It's working now.

I was looking at Satarus dialog file. Are they up to date? There are still correction to be added in, from this thread of postings.

Example:

DIA_Addon_Saturas_Hallo_wei腷du_14_01
You brought the structure of magic in such a disorder that it was to be heard up to Khorinis.
???

#You've caused the very nature of magic itself to be thrown into such disorder that it could be heard all the way back to Khorinis.
Xerxes712

['it could be heard all the way' is an expression. = 'to have felt, heard, or known about it for a great distance'.]

DIA_Addon_Saturas_Erdbeben_14_03

Obviously someone tries with might and main to dispel a powerful spell.

Ganz offensichtlich versucht da jemand mit aller Gewalt, einen mächtigen Zauber zu brechen.

Very obviously someone tries there with all force, to break a powerful magic.

#Quite obviously, someone is there trying with great force to break a powerful spell.
Xerxes712

DIA_Addon_Saturas_RavensDead_14_11 & DIA_Addon_Saturas_PermENDE_ADDON_14_01

We will be stay here and make sure that the temple will illumine in the old glamor.

DECLINE: #We shall remain here, illuminating a history that's been long unseen.
[I have no clue what the sentence is trying to say, so I wrote a new one to try and get the gist of it.]

#We shall remain here, bringing back the old glamor of this temple and illuminating a history that's been long unseen.

#1) We shall remain here, making sure that the temple will shine again in all its old glory.
DECLINE/Xerxes712/Gorath

These and others have not been added to the dialog list yet. I was just wondering....are they still being updated??

Actually it has nothing to do with main char asking for his gold or getting his gold. The conversation there goes over the access to the camp. So the main char asks about the options of getting in, and one of the options is that HE offers TO Franco some gold, in hopes to buy the entrance, so he asks "What about the gold?", which means "will you let me in if I pay you gold" really. To what Franco answers, showing that they have more gold then they can ever spend, by telling "Gold? I'll give you gold, how much you want? A nugget? Hundred nuggets?" and so on. Typical show-off and a sign, that previous offer has no effect since they already have craploads of what was offered.

EDIT: some additional clarifications.

Yes, in german it is like this, but in english it doesn't sound good like this. Better would be perhaps:

# (cynical) Is that all? I'll do that with both my hands tied behind my back!

Good point. That makes more sense. These two sentences need a re-phrase for English to make them more clear to us. Go with your changes, I agree.

I was going to say "How does it look from the point of view of gold?" but I did not read the dialog text. It was not making sense.

I agree more people would know the slang phrase "hands tied behind my back" than "doing it left-handed".

You know, after this is all done, someone needs to do a read through and put in that final emotions in for flow, to give that "Je ne sais pas" quality flavor 'finnesse'.

Once all the data what has been checked and redone here is inserted into the files, I'll go through as many texts, NPC by NPC, and will add the 'emotions' from me, as much as I can I like the idea of splitting the texts apart NPC by NPC, makes it easier to go through them rather then in one big file.

As I see it Franco basically says "Do a job for me and you´ll move up the entry list." Then the hero asks about payment and Franco makes fun of him. After this it´s clear the hero should consider himself lucky that Franco asked him and not somebody else, because everybody wants into the mine.
It wouldn´t make sense if Franco had more than enough gold. If he is so wealthy why is he still doing such a job?
