I have played the MMPORPGS, and they shouldn't be called MMPORGs, it should be called MMPOG, there is hardly any roleplaying, because they have no imagination, it seems that most gamers don't have an imagination to be someone else. It really ruins the game. Thats why I never play MMPORPGs. I am always reluctant to buy a game that adverises it Multiplayer then its single player, because that usually means that the single player will suck, and the multiplayer will not be far ahead of the single player.
I agree. There is very little roleplaying in MMPORPGs, so the title itself is deceiving. The average conversation between players is something like:
"Gandalf, hw r u?"
"Fine thx Gimli, u?"
"k good. want to go xp?"
Its all about getting experience and virtually no roleplaying goes on. No thanks, I'd rather stick to Gothic SP. At least I can actually roleplay my character a little bit. |
