i got this problem that when i load Gothic on my laptop i can see the sky but not the scenery or the charicter. Its just this pale khaki color. anyone know if a patch will fix this or does it just not like laptops. its a amd atholon 1 ghz with 128 ram and a 8 meg video. it also could be the video im not sure. thanks

Its your video. I got some problem at work. 1.2 GHz machine 256 ram but video card is trash, I see the exact same stuff, just the barrier glowing in the sky and someone's foot, everything else is pale Khaki.
Dont know if they make a 3d card strong enough for laptops that can handle Gothic yet

This is the usual fog problem many people with outdated (notebooks, old office machines, ...) or unreliable (ATI) graphics cards have. Gothic should work on most newer notebooks with updated graphics drivers and directx 8.
If the driver alone doesn´t do the trick you can disable fog in the gothic.ini.
