A demo has been released for 'Maximus XV Abraham Strong: Space Mercenary' (aka Space Hack or NovaSphere 13 in Germany). the demo plays pretty well if you don't mind Diablo clones. Very easy interface and movement system allows you to get into the action pretty quickly.

Do a direct load of the site and then try. Much faster that way, but the dl still went slow.
