Not to be flippant, but I really don't see this thing as an RPG. There is very little difference between this title and "Enclave" from a few years ago. Except for the spawning Bradley added to Dungeon Lords they play almost identically. The rpg elements really don't do much. As I leveled up and added skills I didnt notice any real difference. My character has the "roll forward" move now - why would bother with that?

Hilarious. There are actually people defending Dungeon Lords.

I still say verybigslayer is a shill. I have seen people who actually enjoyed the game to some extent (such as TXA) but they don't defend it with such gusto (Or anger-fueled immature replies). Plus that little "ikea" remark sounds like something that would come from someone who takes the game's criticism very seriously. Perhaps too seriously.

Why would someone take it so personally if everyone hates their game? Maybe if they were a designer/artist/programmer for said game.

Stealth marketing? Hmm, my 15 posts shows I'm not a big forum person

It goes without saying: We wanted DL to be in our RPG collections.
Sadly it is not what was promised.
I love to give poorly rated games a chance.
Sometimes it is to my benefit as in X3:Reunion, and Unlimited Saga.
Sometimes it was better to heed the advice as in Mistmare.(which isn't all THAT bad) (for four bucks that is)
I WOULD have given DL a chance if it wasn't for the insulting "Collectors" Edition that just came out.
It would seem someone thinks they know a gamerz penchant for tolerating anything while they wait for the next big Such and Such to come out.
Not me.
Egosoft was wise. With X3 they released the 1.3 patch, and a 1.3 patch rolling demo/system benchmark at the same time. The visuals and the fact that it ran well on my system sent me flying out the door to buy it. Before this I had no question in my mind that I should steer clear of this title. The Starforce issues, the poor performance, the bad packaging/defective discs, on and on. All of which appears to be quite false on my end.

Sorry I have gotten rather off topic.
must return to X3!!
