There are two ranks for each guild. For example, if you are in the mage guild you first start that guild as a novice then 'graduate' to fire mage. Similarly, if you are in the Paladin guild, you start as a city guard and graduate to a paladin. What are the ranks when you join the mercenary guild?

The two ranks in the mercenary guild are mercenary and dragonhunter. As dragonhunter you can learn to forge the heaviest swords (most damage) and buy the best armor of the game. (Heavy dragonhunter armor - Best by protection against weapons.)

Hmm, the Dragon Hunter's armour looks cooler, but paladins armour is better.

no, dragon hunters is 90 90 60 60 and you're all wrong the best armor is the armor of the old knight 100 100 60 60 |

two ranks ?? as far as i remember there are more .. as a mage theres novice, firemage and high firemage
or am i counting armors ?
if so then town guard there like 4
mage 3
and mercenary hmm .. alot .. 6 or somethig |

You´re right, the Paladin´s armour is stronger. Heavy Dragon Hunter´s armour has 90/90/60/40

There are instruction on how to do it in one of the books you found in the monastery cellar. Follow them to make a rune. If you are a paladin, you will get an unknown teleportation rune, which will lead you there. If you are a mage, though, the rune will turn out to be the Holy Missile. |
