Comparision of German and English |
|
Hallo,
I want to compare the German and English words for "horse". In German one have lots of words for special kinds of horses. Here is a list with all I've founded:
normal horse: Pferd
literary expression: Ross
male horse: Hengst
castrated male horse: Walach
female horse: Stute
child of a horse: Fohlen or Füllen
blake horse: Rappen
white horse: Schimmel
old and expenditure-lived horse: Mähre
(old) horse: Gaul
expenditure-lived horse: Klepper
child-linguistically: Hottehü
Please give me all English expressions for horse you find. _________________ Sorry, my website is in German. But perhaps you have neverthelss a look? |
