he has his own purposes in the game so actually he aint that evil its like u[as a hero] want many ore in Gothic 1  and u go robbing all the huts in Old Camp almost the same is with Xardas he wanted just to improve himself in black magic and took a little bit more power |

Ofcourse he's.He's a very compicated person and some times his reactions can't be predict by anyone.He dissapears and a pears when you don't exept him.My opinion is that his evil.Remeber what happened at the end of gothic2.
