Hello...

This is Josh Ritter from Prairie Games. I am going to start publishing the patch list from our Minions of Mirth: Truly Open Alpha here on RPGDot in this thread

7-15-05 (WORLDS MUST BE UPGRADED AFTER THIS PATCH!)

+ Resistance system for full and partial spell resistances, also damage mitigation based on resistance!

+ Resistances include: Physical, Magical, Poison, Disease, Fire, Cold, Electric, and Acid

+ Spells now increase in potency for 10 levels after getting them, up to a 25% bonus!

+ Damage Shields (check out Druid's Bristle Blanket line of spells)

+ Members of the Magi Archetype (Revealer, Wizard, Necromancer) can now learn the "Spell Critical" skill from Frizzle Fry at level 10. Spell Criticals intensify the effects of harmful spells by 2x - 4x depending on skill level!

+ Revealers now get a "Focus" line of spells, these spells significantly increase Mana regeneration

+ Monks now gain the "Stone Skin" skill at level 5. This skill will give up to +50 physical resistance based on skill

+ Drakken now have a -25 cold resistance penalty

+ Ogres get a +10 racial resistance to Disease

+ Harmonic Kimono now adds +25 to electrical resistance

+ New Revealer Outfit, check out Olamian Crondan

+ Added black panther to Jakreth Jungle.

+ Updated cat animations.

+ Added new mob descriptions, submitted by Rev-O.

+ Added icons to the Flaming Scimitar and Tainted Tickler, submitted by Rev-O.

+ Added undead monsters (ghoul, mummy, zombie). (Thanks to Magnus Blikstad of Wit Entertainment)

+ Added Wizard spells, submitted by Theeris.

+ Added crocodile model to Anidaen Forest. (Thanks to Magnus Blikstad of Wit Entertainment)

+ Added damage/rate/range stats and model to Orb of Abomination and Clashing Sword.

+ Added weapons to undead in sewer. Mo' Money!

+ Fixed Greater Sewer Skeleton's loot to drop.

+ Lowered Prisoner's level in Trinst.



7-9-05

+ Ogre Male Model (thanks Magnus Blikstad of Wit Entertainment)

+ 30 new Shaman spells (thanks to J.C. Smith)

+ New Platinum Armor with new textures

+ fixed issue with Single Player Global Char GUI opening when zoning



7-7-05

+ Added Single Player Global Chat login GUI

+ Adjust COMMON loot to be a *little* less common

+ Fixed "monsters" that use NPC races

+ Fixed issue with spell casting canceling when targeting dead mobs

+ Fixed "-1 slot" problem for items sold to vendors

+ Added better error checking to patcher and fixed a couple bugs

+ Fixed vendor selling bug where an item would stay graphically equipped when quick sold from a wearable slot

+ Fixed an issue with default keymapping when in the game proper

+ Changed "Honorforger Greatsword" model to be larger

+ Significantly decreased single player loading time

+ Added patch info window to multiplayer screen

+ Fixed some database errors

7-6-05

+ You can now chat on the Global Chat Server, from SINGLE PLAYER!!! Use /gconnect nickname and then /g hello!

+ 20 new bard spells, including alliance buffs! (thanks John Vanderbeck)

+ increased drop frequency of many spawns and items

+ added skill raising code to caster skills

+ all spells now have skills attached

+ /camp will now bring up a warning about exiting the game

+ BACKSPACE now clears current target by default (note that you may have to set this in your existing prefs)

+ ESCAPE now brings up game options

+ MOTD support for World Server (thanks John Vanderbeck)

+ Added new fields to World Manager->New World GUI (thanks John Vanderbeck)

7-5-05

+ Added new quest submitted by Essential. Talk to Ullypho Shadowborn, upper level of the Trinst Gates (use your Map or Tracking)

+ Added new big cat model. Also, tigers in Anidaen Forest and arctic cats in Frostbite! Watch our for Khur in Mount Zharim!

+ New quest entries for Journal

+ Fixed multiple corpse looting bug

+ Increased ambient lighting of terrain

+ Default visibility is now 70%

+ Added special stamina and mana code to spell effects to make "booster" spells work

+ Adjusted World Server announcing code

+ New spell effect for "Harmonic Robe" thanks Rev-O!

+ No more wind walking out of the sewer.

+ Fixed Rogue spawnpoints in Trinst.

+ Added new mob descriptions, submitted by Rev-O.

+ Added healing spells to paladin.

+ Added Trinst tp spells to revealer.

+ Fixed ambient sounds.

+ NPCs/Monsters/Pets can now be given stats: "flying", "innateHaste", "light", etc!!!

+ NPCs/Monsters/Pets can now be given specific and custom spells via the DBSpawn.addSpell() function, see the Ice Dragon for an example!!!

+ Added a "slow" stat which is the opposite of haste (do NOT use negative haste in spell effects, procs, and items)

+ The Ice Dragon in Frostbite Islands now has a 500 Cold Damage AoE, a 50% slowing AoE effect, can fly, has innate haste, and emits light, beware!

+ Hazeroth is now a 50/50/50 Necromancer/Warrior/Wizard

+ fixed Sun/Moon in Anidaen Forest

+ After feasting on numerous adventurers, Khur has grown considerably in stature

+ /imm gimme PLEVEL/SLEVEL/TLEVEL now accepts a numeric argument for how many levels you want to gain: example -> /imm gimme PLEVEL 100

+ adjusted spawn melee distance based on spawn scale

+ fixed Tactics Defense skill check

+ fixed Bard song "Chant of the Serpent" to not regen 6x/sec

+ Attack animations now override casting animations

+ Updated the feline pet models for the Shaman and Druid.

7-21-05

+ Innkeeper Dur has a new inn, submitted by Graustern.

+ Added female Drakken model. (thanks to Magnus Blikstad of WIT Entertainment)

+ Added male drakken body type variations. (thanks to Magnus Blikstad of WIT Entertainment)

+ Added new wizard spells: Elemental Shield and Acid Spray. Updated wizard spells to do resist-based damage. Submitted by Theeris.

+ Mob Variants (Size, Level, and Undead) see: http://www.prairiegames.com/twiki/bin/view.cgi/MoM/MobVariants

+ Added xpMod column to the Spawn table (.5 = 50% xp, 2 = 200% xp)

+ Added aiCast column to SpellProto table (if set to false, ai will not cast the spell)

+ AI Pets no longer spawn ontop of their master

+ Players no longer warp to their target like AI does, oops

+ Clerics now get 0% XP Resurrection at level 20 (very handy in a deep dungeon, just don't let your cleric snuff it)

+ Necromancers now get 0% XP Resurrection (Undeath) at level 40. The spell scroll commonly drops off Thokolu the Deathspinner in Jakreth Jungle

+ Thokolu the Deathspinner is now a 40/35/35 Wizard/Assassin/Warrior

+ Fixed problem where a resist of > 100 would actually heal

+ Fixed aggro problem with AoE spells

+ Added fire resistance to Fire Dragon.

+ Changed Willard's spawn frequency, he now has only one spawnpoint. Lowered his aggro range. Lowered the frequency of the Tainted Tickler drop.

+ Fixed typos in spawn descriptions, spell names and descriptions.

+ Added Phos the Ravenous to Anidaen Forest, he is part of the Earthbound, thanks to Rev-O.

+ Azagwar the Forest Walker and Thokolu the Deathspinner are now part of the Earthbound.

+ Note: Khur the Hunter and Guuramekk the Pack Leader are also part of the Earthbound.

+ Added 1H Slash skill to Clashing Sword.

+ Removed Chancellor Tolip's dialog from Innkeeper Dur.

+ Removed generic dialog from the master quest list.

* New Item Variant system

* New (in progress) Random Loot system. Item Variant code should be pretty solid, though there are some good class specific/spells/etc that need special attention, for now don't be surprised by what you might find on a Dust Mite!

* Rogues can now train in the "Camouflage" skill at level 10... 80% invisibility which also affects aggro ranges, sneaky assassins! Talk to Dinzer Pinz

* Rangers can also train in the "Camouflage" skill at level 10... however, the invisibility granted is 60%

* Added wpnRaceBane and wpnRaceBaneMod to !DBItemProto for setting up racial bane weapons

* Added wpnResistDebuff and wpnResistDebuffMod to !DBItemProto for setting up weapons that cut thru resistances

* Tracking Skill will now raise

* Added additional try/except block in zone tick function so that bugged players are less likely to affect other players

* Fixed KOS update bug when adding a character at an Inn

* Adjusted Quality code, no more "Shoddy Skulls", etc

* Removed "singlestat.py" entirely

* Quest mobs in the Trinst Sewer can now drop multiple Parchment Pieces check online docs

* Adjusted Resistance damage mitigation

* Item Quality level now affects light sources

* Item Quality only applied to equippable items

* Smoothed out terrain around the entrance into mountain in Mount Zharim.

* Assassins get "Death Spin" at level 25... 100% Innate Haste (stacks with everything) and GREATLY increases the chance of landing criticals for 20 seconds! Talk to Cruella

* Barbarians get "Whirling Fury" at level 20... up to 50% innate haste for 30 seconds! Talk to Zorlak Durghast

* Numerous tweaks and fixes to the Item Variant and Random Loot

* Monks no longer get the Heavy Armor skill

* Clerics get Heavy Armor at level 20

* All Magical Items are not of Exceptional Quality

* Mobs and NPC's can now inflict criticals on players (including Grevious Wounds!)

* Mobs that are of a playable race and who are not unique, can now be male or female

* Removed Phos' description from Giant Crocodile.

* Added quilted, padded, and plate armor texture sets, thanks to Christophe Canon.

* Fixed descriptions of Trinst Guards.

* Increased the scale of Azagwar, Thokolu, Guuramekk, and Phos.

FULL PATCH INFORMATION

* Monk Epic Weapon: Staff of Serpent Striking, Weapon: 44/16 +15 AGI, +15 STR, +15 REF, +10 BDY, Separate Stun *and* Poison Procs! Talk to Colavri Arda in Trinst

* Two-handed weapons now get a 20% bonus to damage

* Added a "stun" stat to mobs that works like "sleep", although does NOT get canceled when the mob takes damage. A stunned mob cannot attack or cast (new) spells.

* Implemented the Double and Triple Attack skills

* Implemented the Riposte skill. When struck in melee, characters with this skill have a chance to riposte up to 50% damage.

* Adjusted some melee formulas

* "Mukluks of the Arctic Wolf" and "Boots of the Cheetah" will no longer randomly drop

* removed light from Bard song: "Chant of the Serpent"

* Adjusted many spawn levels and added some secondary/tertiary classes. It's a good idea to reevaluate monsters!

FULL PATCH INFORMATION

* Custom Macro and Macro Editor + Icons, right or alt-click on a macro and get to setting up rocking game tactics for your party and alliance! This is absolutely necessary for coordinating attacks on the upcoming Dragons!

* There is a northern exit from Jakreth Jungle into the "Eastern Wasteland" which leads into Hazeroth Keep to the east and the "Evil City" to the northeast. The wasteland and city are still in progress.

* Players can now swim between Mt. Zharim and Anidaen Forest.

* The boat in the Desert of Mohrum now docks in Jakreth Jungle.

* Added "/target" command

* Added "/assist" command which target's the specified character's target, whew. Great for coordinating attacks!

* Added "/cast" command which casts the specified spell

* Added "/skill" command which invokes the specified skill

* Added "/imm reloadcommands" for reloading mud.world.commands module on the fly (development)

* Added leather and worn leather armor texture sets, thanks to Christophe Canon.

7-29-05

FULL PATCH INFORMATION

* Ogre, Drakken, and Troll Warriors and Barbarians now get Power Wield at level 25. Power Wield allows a character to dual wield two-handed weapons. For each two-handed weapon being dual wielded, there is a 15% speed penalty. For example: wielding a single Greatsword = no penalty, a Greatword + a Longsword = 15% speed penalty, two Greatsword = 30% speed penalty (thanks to Fendory for this idea)

* Monks now get Fury Fists at level 20. There hands burst into flames hasting them by 25% and increasing melee damage by 10% for up to a minute.

* Characters now begin with their starting gear equipped.

* Increased Mana regeneration rate

* Added racial skill system

* Triggered particle system based on model nodes for crazy special effects like, um, Dragon Breath Weapons, Monk Fury Fists particle effects, etc

* Hooked up flight system with animations

* Added new Cleric spells, submitted by Theeris.

* Scaled up the casting sound effects on huge spawns

* Added possibility for 2 more attack animations

* Spells can now specifiy an animation override... so can have custom animations!

* Spell beginning sounds can now be given a duration and loop instead of only being single shot sound effects

* Spells can now be given custom casting messages, use $src to insert the spawns name in message

* Multiple texture system for non-player race spawns. It's now possible to have separate head, body, and special/wings textures.

* Continued work on the "Eastern Wasteland".

8-3-05

* DRAGON INVASION!!!!, extra huge thanks to Magnus Blikstad of WiT Entertainment.

* Charune the Vigilant is now resistant to fire attacks.

* Increased corpse rot time to 3 minutes

* Added "loot locking" for multiplayer, only the player + any alliance members who got the kill credit can initially loot the corpse. Other players will be able to loot the corpse after 2 minutes.

* Significantly decreased Secondary/Tertiary class XP requirements.

* Casters now start with most low level spells in their inventory.

* Major change to initial aggro, should make nuking with your Wizard too early in a fight slightly less painful.

* Fixed problem with direct spells when cast on non-hostile targets. <verbatim>AoE</verbatim> spells will only affect (currently) hostile targets.

* Fixed issue with spawns getting skills beyond their level

* Fixed problem with multiple characters and attack animations

* Adjusted mob variant code to limit the "uber variants" to spawns with a primary level over 10

* Fixed dynamic shadow performance issue on interiors with huge spawns.

* Made improvements to Eastern Wasteland.

* Removed Necromancer spells from Haragorer and Dinzer in Trinst

* Removed "House Penumbra" from incorrect spawns in Trinst.

* Kill XP adjustments. Spawns below 10 levels of your highest alliance character primary level will no longer reward any XP. There is also now a linear falloff on spawns up to 9 levels below your highest alliance character's primary level. Likewise, mobs of higher primary level than your highest alliance character, give increased XP up to 100%!!!

* Removed "Haste" indicator for Stat GUI

* Reduced all racial, class, and multiclass XP penalties

* Added party XP bonuses for additional characters in parties (+20%, +40%, +80%, +100%, +150%) Also, the number of characters in a player's party has no bearing on alliance XP splits.

* Improved stability of the client

* Fixed a bug with Double and Triple Attacks skills raising when out of melee range

* The Eastern Wasteland is being populated with mainly level 25-40 mobs.

* The Engulfor in Frostbite Islands is now Akath Sur the Engulfor, she is level 50 and is one of The Fundaments, thanks to Rev-O.

* Xathaqa the Coiled Lord is part of the Blightborn, thanks to Rev-O. He has been added to the Eastern Wasteland.

* Akath Koh the Indurator is one of The Fundaments and has been added to the Eastern Wasteland, thanks again to Rev-O.

* The Tempest's sleeves of the various seasons icon has been fixed and a material has been assigned to them.

* Fixed the location of the Druid and Revealer's teleport spells to Anidaen Forest.

* Removed terrain holes from the Eastern Wasteland.

* Made improvements to the dreadscale armor and added some new pieces. Fixed Dart's Dagger of Delight so it can be equipped. Added a new mob to Grewail's grunts, the Dreaded Scout. Thanks to Theeris.

* Updated wizard buff and damage spells. Added Frizzle's Lightning Storm and Blazing Inferno. Thanks to Theeris.

* Updated cleric heal spells. Added Celestial Heal and Divine Heal. Thanks to Theeris.




8-10-05

* Guardian/GM accounts for managing worlds

* Added /ignore <playername>

* Added /gm mute <playername> to mute a player (also /gm unmute)

* Added /gm playerinfo <avatar or publicname> to get Avatar/Public and IP of a player

* Added /gm ban <public name> to ban and kick a player (also /gm unban)

* Added /gm kick <public name> to kick a player

* Added /imm grant command for adding roles to a user (ex. /imm grant KBro Guardian)

* Immortal account characters are no longer displayed in /ladder

* Persistent pet equipment which also act as additional item storage!!! You can now equip your pet with any equippable item and the item is stored between logs!!!! Double click your pet or click on P on the tome to access your character's pet inventory!!!

FULL PATCH INFORMATION

8-12-05

* Added new spell/custom macro icons, extra huge thanks to Tom King

* Converted existing spells to use new icons

* Casting a "Target Individual" benefical spell while having an enemy targeted will now default the spell target to the casting character. For example, it's now much easier to heal yourself during combat.

* Adjusted Death Spin's haste, critical increase, and duration

* Grevious Wound damage has been reduced

* Precise Shot damage has been reduced

* Spawns are less likely to Greviously Wound players

* FULLY rooted mobs will no longer "warp"

* Reduced XP penalty for death

* Significantly lowered XP requirements

* Fixed issue with buying item from vendors with a full inventory

* Updated Goblin model and textures.

* Updated the inn in the evil city.

* Added/updated spawns in the Eastern Wasteland.
