i've been playing Gothic for very long now ..
and i simply love the game no qustion there most games i've played as many time as gothic i can pretty much play whit my eyes closed else they are lieing under a pile of dust 30 feet thick

but one thing has been bugging me abit about gothic
how is it that a merc can just walk into the old camp in G1 and noone gives a damn ? or a guard can just walk up to Lee whitout getting sliced and diced 20 times before he gets into the cave ?

isnt there someway to set some kind of prefix or something to the armors or your true guild that would make guys from diffrent camps attack eachother ? ...
i just think it would make things abit more challangeing

in the beginning, their kinda like in peace(even though rogues keep attacking gomez's shipments to the mine), but later on their at war and then guards kill everything, that isnt from the old camp

Also if you are a guard or something from the old camp lares guards don't let you to see him.

and if u listen closely some guards will tell you that the new camp is running with no system like the old camp where all the guards protect theyr leader , in new camp everyone needs to look out for himself thats why u can enter Lees cave and even talk to him .

if you ask me thats a pretty crappy system ...
then one or two gurds could just walk into the camp and kill a whole bunch of them cuz noone would care seens they where supose to take care of them selvs ..
even though its not like that in the game ..
as far as i remember if you kill someone for no reason they'll start chopping away at you .. atleast its like that in the mine ( outter mine )

well noone cares about rogues, but as i see it, mercs stick together and mages are quite well protected, so they have a system, kinda, and the merc in front of Lees cave tells you that you can see Lee, cause he can fight for himself

I have to agree with Uocjat. There is a system but it isn't a very good one. I think it would have been cool if they wrote the game so that you could play all the sides... get armor from each camp and change out depending on where you were. After all, communication between the camps probably wasn't the best given their enmity, and it would make for some interesting circumstances if someone DID find out what you were up to!!

ehe well sometimes spys were in the camps i mean in old camp u could find 2 new campers one at the arena and the another one is selling stuff , and in new camp u can find some sect camp ppl and like we allready know they communicate with old camp also so it would take 1-2 days to find out in what camp u are some digger sees u and is going to talk to another digger who has also some friends and so on till the news come to another camp

just like G2 addon, you can be a pirate, a bandit, a member of the circle of water and a member of one of the mainguilds at the same time.

yup tho it would be much cooler if they would do it like u can only join one of those also [magicians of water , pirates or bandits] that way u would need to play the game many many times till u finish it 100%

i dont think you ever finish 100% .. just a few days ago i found a hidden cave i've never noticed before even though i've been by the place a million times
