I had a question about the mods. What exactly do the mods do? Do they just add extra quests? Or can you actually add to the gameworld? Like land, and houses, and things like that?

I have never used a mod myself, but I am guessing they give you access to all graphics and sounds in the game. So you can pretty much make an entirely new game with the same graphics and sound as Gothic. Of course I could be wrong. <:

A mod of Gothic looks like the normal arena but the people who made the mod changed some thing like more Scavengers, more trees, perhaps a bridge more and things like that!

The Gothic Mod Kit let u make new:
Quests, Levels, Weapons, Monsters, Spells....
Only the source code of the engine is not out.
To make new animated models u need 3Dmax for levels and static models a program like milkshape is enough.

With the mod kit you can make an entirely new game, except that you MUST keep the graphics engine. Even though you could propably have made the graphics better by just making more detailed models and textures.
