From the topic "the most underrated rpgs" you can extract the following list:

Revenant
Albion
Demise
Darkstone
Evil Islands
Soulbringer
Seadogs
Wizards & Warriors
Anvil of Dawn
Ancient Domains of Mystery
Darklands
Bloodnet

a few more hot tips:
Exile series (= Avernum)
Rage Of Mages 1 u. 2
Septerra Core
Battlespire
Redguard

please add games that were no blockbusters but fun to play. (underrated, underplayed, old and rediscovered ...)

The SNES Version of Wizardry 5 is fun to play - the grafix are much better than the old PC-Version. The SNES version has automapping ! With this emulator it runs fine on your PC, too:

Cybermage (more of an action adventure, but if you count Redguard, you'll have to count his one, too.)
It had RPG elements, and Warren Spector had his hands in it. On the other hand, it was buggy, and it was too technically advanced for its time - i.e., nobody had a computer big enough to run it (nobody except me, that is ). But it was very good.

Mordor: Depths of Dejenol
It was really fun to play, although not a real RPG.
