I am trying to cast Soul Feeder on someone so that I can trap them in one of my "Petty Soul Gems" but everytime I cast it is says "Spell Does not Have a Target"! Why is this??? I know I am hitting them and I know that I have a Soul Gem, so whats up?? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks! |

The problem may be that you can't trap humans? I sure couldn't. Or you are trying to trap a soul that is too powerfull for the gems you have? And as Thanos stated you can cast it after killing monsters, but you can also cast it on one corpse as many times as you like. _________________ - Of all the worlds there must be - why was i born on this one? -

before I figured out I can cast ST after they are dead, I used to cast it before I started smacking them in melee. Of course, that meant that I had 60 seconds to kill them, but I usually was done in less than that. And the spell always worked.
But since I figured out accidentally that it works even when they are dead, I havent bothered casting it beforehand |

If you have a spare blade lying around, you could enchant it with soul trap cast on strike. That usually works well, and you can make the duration as short as 18 seconds and you shouldn't have a problem. |
