When i start the game it gives me an acess violation.
System

512 mb ram
ATI Radeon 64mb
SB live!
Windows ME

Tried adjusting color quality, resolution, freeing up more swapspace and disabling fog. The problem persists. |

Are all the drivers up to date? What about DXDiag? |

Drivers are up to date. Tests on DxDiag all yield positive results. Does the game simply not work with Radeon cards? |

Many people here have a Radeon card. It should run flawlessly.
When do you get an access violation? Can you see the PB logo? |

I get the violation as well on my radeon 8500... Piranha-bytes has had more than enough time to fix this problem with the radeon cards. I am totally pissed I can't play a game I paid $40 for just because it takes the company forever to put out a patch (it'd been out in Germany forever, so don't say 'give them time'). Fortunately I can play the game on another computer I own, and it seems fun, but full of bugs.
Never again piranha-bytes! Next time I guess I should wait for some american reviews. |

Ive got a Radeon 64mb DDR. I can see the gothic logo that says "loading" on it when i try to start the game but instead of the game actually starting i get an acess violation.
Well its been out since Nov. 15th in the US according to them. Today is December 12th. Thats approximately a month since the American release that they have had to fix this problem. (if this is a software problem)
Usually bugs that cause the game to be rendered unplayable get fixed faster then that.

Try this all, uninstall your GFX cards drivers, reinstall the original ones, then the updated ones then install Direct X, that should weed out any probs... |

I have a GF3 , and when I bought an ATI radeon to replace it , I get the same shit. as soon as I pop my GF3 back in, It works fine. Maybe its the Direct X 8.1 that is at fault. Try direct x8 and then 8a to see if either work. Please tell me if it helps. |
