@Roach: Sometimes I just need something angry to scream along with. It helps to get pent up aggression out of one's system. It's better than yelling at people.

Since my selection of country albums is extremely limited, I don't listen to country often. But...

Superjoint Ritual - A Lethal Dose of American Hatred

Ever love a cd by a particular artist, then the next one is pure excrement?
Thats what Im getting with "Lethal Dose..". The first one, "Use Once and Destroy" however is brilliant, an unbelievable melding of hardcore punk, thrash, and doom metal. This one is just like some mediocre thrash or something, and it doesnt have the aggression to back it up, it's half-hearted, and the doom hooks are gone. I didnt take much stock in comments by other metalheads that Phil Anselmo's voice was shot, but after hearing this cd, I'm thinking they may have a point, he sounds tired. Oh well, 16 bucks down the tubes!

Anyway, country music... hmm.

Believe it or not, I do like some of it, but it isnt what most consider traditional crusty "country", like Waylon Jennings or whatever. I like John Denver a lot, takes me back to times of family vacations in the 70's when I was but a mere kitten. He was great songwriter and musician, I dont care what anyone says. Kenny Rogers holds the same place in my heart as well, and noone comes close to the great Patsy Cline.

And I think "You were always on my mind" by Willie Nelson is one of the greatest love songs of all time.

Disturbed... must prepare myself for the upcoming album. The Pre-release/radio stuff makes it sound on par with the last two; which I greatly enjoyed.

Now if only Staind would do such pre-release stuff.

Railroad Earth: Like a Buddha (3-27-04)

@LocoBaxter: Yeah, I like Country. At least the stuff from: drunks, dopers, misfits, convicts, and cow-punks. And the alt country stuff... I think Barrel Chested by Slobberbone is the most brilliant piece of "white trash" music I ever heared. And you so-seldom see "brilliant" and "white trash" in the same sentence.

Railroad Earth is a string/bluegrass/jam band... and I love'em. The -Live Music Archive- has 250 shows. Give one a dl. You might like it...

@Sanmhainx: Damn straight about Patsy Cline! Wow... she could belt a tune. She made you feel... what she felt... inside.
