Modern Ruins

I love ruins and abandoned structures, modern and ancient. Im not going to spend too much time with further opinion, as I have quite a few things I want to do today. I'll just turn you on to some ruins, and you can take it from there.
A good modern ruins resource for those interested is http://www.deathrock.net/ariadne/ruins.html That site itself is a bit old, so some of the links very well may be considered cyber-ruins
Some of you might be quite suprised at the feelings you may experience when looking at some of these old asylums, churches, amusement parks, and formerly magnificent industrial and culturally significant structures now in ruins. Time is no friend to anyone or anything.

Detroit has some amazing architecture, and being a former industrial epicenter, these now outmoded and long forgotten pieces of modern history lie dormant. Being originally from Detroit, http://www.forgottendetroit.com/ holds a special place in my heart, particularly the Michigan Central Depot and St Cyril's, both places I have seen with my own eyes and experienced. I personally find it fascinating, perhaps you will too.
