Gothic 2 confirmed for consoles ... well xbox

Well www.rpgdot.com has translated for us the main points of Gothic 2 interview
Here they are
" Here are some facts from the latest Krawall interview with Piranha Bytes' Mike Hoge:

- in the US, Gothic sold roughly as many copies as in Germany
- the Gothic II engine won't be - as had been suspected - Phenomedia's CodeCreatures but a revamped version of the 'old' Gothic engine
- there won't be mounts in Gothic II
- there will be a console version of Gothic II. "

Gothic 1 is also going to xbox, and the console version they are talking about must be for xbox.Jowood the publishers has previously announced that Gothic 2 would be on xbox too, and the conversion is the easiest to do from pc to xbox.
So this very nice rpg is also coming to xbox, and it is very good news since Gothic 1 was a very good game.Gothic 2 looks better in every way, with fantastic graphics, open worlds with a lot going on (wars etc) and ... dragons.
I belive in time Gothic 2 is ready for pc the Gothic 1 xbox will come out, and then after some months Gothic 2 too.

i really don't care if they release gothic 2 or one on the xbox. i just hope pb makes enough money to make a gothic3! if releasing gothic on the xbox keeps them in business all the more power to them.

Since port to consoles gives lots of money -- needed for Gothic 3 -- then why not consider a Gameboy port?

I woudln't worry about it too much. Xbox uses windows and directx type stuff. Basically, MS made it easy for game companies to port to Xbox, so that Xbox would have more games than any other console. Gee, what a surprise.

Yah, that means I will be able to play Gothic 2 without having to worry about my computer being good enough. That is one advantage of having it on a console.

If Xbox are going to have the most games a have a fair way to go to catch up to Playstation 2. I would prefer quality over quantity so it doesn't really matter.
