If you have to choose ONE game. Whice is the best one you played?

I think i have to choose between Gothic and Arcanum, and i think i have to say... Arcanum.

Maybe i should tell why i choose Arcanum:

First of all, the story, its just excellent! Then the graphics, its just how a real RPG should look, and the music are great to. And the combination of magic(k) and tech is just great.

I will choose Wizardry 8, but I must say that I play RPGs maybe one year, so I do not know nothing about many good old RPGs.

Why such reaction?
Arcanum was very good and I must agree that it had good story, good graphics, nice sound and very good gameplay.
However it is not best game for me, but it can be for other people with other tastes.

Fallout 2 – the best game ever to see daylight. I still play it from time to time. It's has unlimited surprises.

P.S. It seems that every few months this topic returns, o well I still have long way to reach my 300 posts.

Final Fantasy VII. I'd played a few RPG's before, but nothing compared to that experience I had while playing and completing that game. After that, I was hooked, and still am, on RPG's.
