We're already the Chosen of Innos. And Adanos won't do anything, he has to keep balance between Innos and Beliar. I guess he can't help anybody.

@megadav,

There are many good questions asked on these Gothic series forums, but staying with Gothic, your first post of this thread is the most interesting and sadly the most overlooked, in fact it is the best question ever, but why? there are *no* obvious answers, - but the answers ARE there in the game!!
The answers about Xardas will come to light, once you have completed a certain quest that is mentioned on another thread, one that no player except two, have completed. You will learn of the demons and Xardas!
Also megadav, you have another "most interesting" and related question raised in another thread, - - i will give nothing away but can you see the path, the way forward to almost all the un-answered and related questions??
When it is finally solved many further questions will emerge.

@megadav,

Here's an interesting point, Xardas says the orc race is as old as the human race and are as intelligent, the sleeper was invoked by the orc priests who then had their hearts ripped out, the hearts were then the power source of the sleeper, "a powerful arch demon" - - - i am sure you can see the link??

actually, in my opinion, Xardas is from beginning interested to be a chosen of beliar and he uses you (the chosen of innos) to defeat the sleeper and then the undead dragon so he can take their power..... and in gothic 3 (i read about the storyline) you become some kind of divinity ( by defeating Xardas probably) , you'll have divine (VERY powerful) powers ...and i even heard that pyrhanya bytes are thinking how to continue the story in gothic 4 ..soo...you dont die in any case
