Divinity skin updates and discussions.

In case you are using Opera and have tried out the RPGDot Divinity skin before, you may have found it to be inoperable. I have fixed it, so all Opera users can now rejoice and happily change this site's skin without worries.

Thanks Myr for the file transfer and special thanks to Merz for pointing out that there was something wrong. (I wonder why nobody has mentioned it before.. Maybe there aren't so many Opera users? Nah.. can't be. )

On a side note, there haven't been any new nitpicks lately. Nothing to improve anymore? Come on, surely there are things that bug you, even if just a little. Small things you think could be improved?
(Apart from the loading time that is, which would require a complete overhaul. )

Quite honestly, I'm pretty well out of ideas. Only one I've got left (and I'm scratching the absolute bottom of the idea barrel here) is that it would be nice if the link for "mark all topics read" were added to the top of the frame as well as its current home at the bottom. That could save me nearly .472 seconds of scrolling.

You've forced me to, I guess... after you hit 'submit,' in the screen you're taken to for 3 or so seconds, the picture of the moment is numbered instead of titled.

That's the only opportunity I have to play "Guess the RPG"

dte: In the near future you will be able to scroll .472 seconds faster.
sauron: Thanks for your effort! I must disappoint you though. I think Myr mumbled words like "wontfix" in another thread... Moreover I fear the bug is unrelated to both the Divinity (= main, site) skin and the divinity (= forum) skin, so it's err.. not in my area of expertise.

Actually this topic wasn't meant to be about the forum templates, but rather about everything around it, i.e. the news site, navigation menu and so on.
Well, if you haven't noticed anything while brwosing through RPGDot, I guess everything is in order.

Note to Opera users: I've fixed another very visible bug. The strange borders will soon be gone . . .

Uhm.. You meant the "mark all forums read" link on the forum index page, right? Because the "mark all topics read" links on the topic overview pages are, in fact, both at the bottom (left) and the top (right). In case you meant the latter, what I could do is move the "new topic" button to the left and the other text to the right... Would make more sense anyway, I'll try out how it looks. But not today, I'm supposed to be studying right now.

I have to say I'm not too keen on the new alignment of some elements, like the Submit & Preview buttons and the page jump links etc. They used to be center-aligned but now reside on the left.

I preferred them in the middle.

Edit: Ach, and the text on the "message entered sucessfully" screen...

cmfdobbie, shhh.. Don't tell anyone.
Fix one bug and lots of others appear elsewhere. Bear with it one night and one day, if you can. It will be all fine.. all fine...

Ah, I thought it was a design change. Whoops! Don't worry, I won't tell anyone...

Well, I met this new alignment fist in View new posts - Page 1, 2, 3 was not in center but on the left side. I thought it was new desing.
But then I met it same thing in Submit button. So I came here to report it but... Someone was quicker.

I prefer the submit button to be centered as well (especially in the news editor *g*).

So no objection if it is changed back.

Not at all. Probably it just means that the current position of the button and text on the top right is not prominent enough. I'll do something about it when I find the time.

Okay, all alignment issues should be fixed now. If you find anything out of place or misaligned or odd-looking, please tell me.

Aside from that, I've moved the "new topic" and "post reply" buttons on the top to the left. The text that was formerly on the left now resides on the right side. Looks a bit unfamiliar for a second, but overall I hope it's easier to use.

Moderator function graphical glitches?

Hi Arhu,

The "IP Information" page seems to have a missing graphic for the table header.

Do you want notification of these issues, or are the moderator pages not worth worrying about?

Cheers,
Charlie.

Can you send me a PM with a screenshot of this issue? I can't seem to find anything wrong on my personal Arhuworld copy of the IP page... Compared it to icicle, and they look pretty much the same.

Oh, everything has to be perfect, so just keep 'em coming.
