My favorite computer bugs! |
|
I have been using my dwemer jinksword to paralyze mobs and now for some reason when I try and use it, it backfires and parlyzes me instead. This really screws lots of my stategy. I tried restarting the game and it still is the same. I can't use this anymore. I will have to buy another one now.
This is a great time to talk about bugs!
There is another one where the guards attack me without even having a bounty on my head...Luckily this was for a toon that I don't use anymore.
What are all your favorite bugs? |

Right after starting out you get a paper you need to show the man before the entrance to get into the starting city. I thought.
So I went here and tried to give him the paper.
It dropped on the floor (surprise/surprise).
I took it up again and tried to move some, to be in better 'giving' position.
Game tells me I am too encumbered.
Thinking: 'What the f+++' I was browsing the inventory and found myself having 17774543 papers now
This happened about 3 times ending in 3545346547 papers on the floor
It was so amazing finding out that just talking to that guyis actually enough |

Lol at the second bug! Thats a lot of paper.
To the first poster, that is not a bug. Whoever you are attacking is reflecting the spell back to you. You need a spell or potion of reflection or Absorption to counter it. |

When you enchanted the weapon did you set the enchantment to 'Self' instead of Target? |

He probably bought it off the guy in the Balorma fighter guild or found it. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

^^ I bet thats it! Look at the weapons stats dude. If it says "Paralyze 10 pts for 15 seconds on self" you is screwed. |

I haven't got the game yet but the name "Jinxsword" doesn't sound too benefitial to oneself... |

Jinksword is a type of short bladed weapon in Morrowind.
I've got a bug, though. Remember the cool fall through the floor into the endless void bug from Daggerfall? It's BAAAAAAACK. This time, though, they've got a work around. You're teleported back to just inside the entrance to the area you're in. Rarely you still take falling damage, leading to much painful looking collapsing to ones knees.
I've got another possibly related bug where falling damage that WOULD have been taken but prevented by a slowfall spell stacks up in the background... walk into a new area and ... POW. I bet that left a mark.
Both bugs happen pretty infrequently, so I'm happy. Not like Daggerfall where jumping in a dungeon was a coin-toss as to whether or not you hit the floor or fell through it...
Sometimes I'll crash to desktop when I select cancel on the barter screen too. THAT one is annoying, but once again pretty rare. I quicksave before talking to each merchant now as a precaution though because it's happened to me three times out of the several hundred or thousand times I've hit the barter dialogue option. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

The only bug I've ran across is getting stuck..nothing the fix command in the console can't fix.
As for the Jinksword, I have been using that think religiously for quite awhile, that sword rocks hard core.
This one isn't a bug but an annoyance, some of the quests to escort npc's really suck because the npc's are hella slow. I really really hate that..then I found out you can use travel means with them..but still therse always some walking distance to go and it blows.. _________________ Shifter |

Not a problem for us heavy armor wearing fighter types with 44 speeds. The NPCs are always right there.
$&(#*$ cliffracers killed one I was escorting though. He was argonian too (and not a bad guy), my favorite race. I really wanted to help him but I hadn't saved in an hour. Sigh. I avenged his death by terminating the cliffracers with Extreme Prejudice. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi
